Merzouga lets you combine a desert stay with activities in the surrounding area. But a photograph of a buggy on a dune does not establish our route. The outing depends on what is agreed with the operator and conditions at the time. It is also different from a 4x4 camp transfer: if you need to reach your accommodation, enquire about that service separately.

Buggy or horse? Two different outings

Choose a buggy if a guided motorised activity appeals to you and you can meet participation requirements. Horse riding focuses on the animal and observing quieter landscapes. They are not interchangeable versions of the same route. For families or friends, share ages and expectations first; do not assume everyone can drive or take part.

Drivers, passengers and families: what needs checking

The price is per buggy, not per person, but this does not tell you its seating capacity. Share participant ages and who wants to drive. Driving eligibility, licences, ages and passenger conditions must be checked with the operator. We do not advertise unconfirmed age limits, capacity, adaptations or certifications. If you do not want to drive, ask specifically about options before booking.

Timing your request and preparing for the weather

Do not choose a time solely from a sunset photograph. Light can be a preference; sunset is not guaranteed. Wind can lift sand and the feeling of heat or cold changes by season and time of day. Plan layers in winter and discuss timing in warmer periods. If arriving from Marrakech, Fes or Errachidia, leave room between arrival, the outing and your next transfer.

Practical preparation before setting out

Bring comfortable clothing, closed shoes and sun protection. Ask how to protect your eyes and face from dust and what equipment is supplied; do not assume it is included. Bring water and secure loose items. If taking photographs or video, ask when and where this can be done without interfering with instructions.

The reference is €150 per buggy for one guided hour, subject to confirmation and availability. It is not a per-person price or a promise of seats. For other durations, request a proposal rather than assuming proportional pricing. Transfers, meals, accommodation and extras are not considered included without confirmation.
